Last March 12, it was honor to connect with teachers from Sturgeon Public School Division. The following month I was able to meet with teacher assistants from Star Catholic schools last April 28.

I have a special affinity for educators because my mama Gloria became a substitute teacher when our family migrated to Canada . Her dedication to the craft rubbed off on me and taught me to help others through the gift of knowledge. It was deeply heartwarming to hear stories of teachers who have been teaching more years than I have been on this earth. It just shows that I have still more to learn from the school of hard knocks.

My podcast interview with Sickboys Jeremie, Brian, and Taylor was released last week. Their podcast’s goal is to break down the stigma associated with illness and disease. As such, it was honor as a occupational therapist to be part of their advocacy and share my personal journey to bring out the best in neurodiverse persons. Listen to the interview below:

One of the highlights of my year is hosting the Kaleido Family Arts Festival by Arts on The Ave. It is an honor to be part of this creative community. I am always amazed by the awethrencity of the artists that share their craft during these three days. Their dedication pushes me to be a better artists (beatboxer, bboy, spoken word performer, and actor).

As a dad, I am grateful to have an event for my 2 children to see how the arts brings people together and lets community voices be heard. I can’t wait to see them be on stage when they are tall enough to reach the microphone.
