Last March 12, it was honor to connect with teachers from Sturgeon Public School Division. The following month I was able to meet with teacher assistants from Star Catholic schools last April 28.
I have a special affinity for educators because my mama Gloria became a substitute teacher when our family migrated to Canada . Her dedication to the craft rubbed off on me and taught me to help others through the gift of knowledge. It was deeply heartwarming to hear stories of teachers who have been teaching more years than I have been on this earth. It just shows that I have still more to learn from the school of hard knocks.
